Furilden

As a child, me, my older brother and the village's other children cycled out on the island of Furilden. Our imagination, or at least mine, transformed this barren and industrial landscape into something of a colorful amusement park. Today, this is a popular destination on Gotland with, among other things, a fantastically stylish hotel and a wine bar in one of the gravel pits. The creation of this painting came about intuitively, completely without plan or conscious control and is close to my heart.
